Sow and Arrow are Keto Specialists based in Clevedon. During the pandemic the business had to completely shift from primarily a high street eatery to an education platform to keep things moving.
Through the high street eatery/shop they specialise in foods that support a healthy life people to help people continue weight issues or want to become healthier, help people understand how changing your diet you can have a big impact on overall health. Their ethos is to live a low carb, grain free, gluten free life and everything made using ingredients that don’t spike blood sugars whilst only stocking products from ethical local suppliers.
Pauline, founder of Sow and Arrow says “If you believe that the food you put into your body should give you abundant energy and incredible health and still taste unbelievably good, then we are in agreement!”
As well as their shop they run science-based courses on optimising health and reversing chronic illness. They spend time sourcing the best quality suppliers and products so you don’t have to! We love working with passionate, health-focused companies and artisan producers, finding new and exciting products for or customers.

Their story:
Pauline cox co founder of Sow and Arrow said the business began as a high street store specialist cafe and eatery with some retail and when the pandemic hit they had to pivot to create a new format.
They closed the cafe and only sold takeaway food. They extended their retail offer online and also began teaching online too through a brand new susbciption based model.
Pauline is a nutritionist, and physio, during the pandemic as well as saving her business, learning how to go online and physically delivering food in her local area herself- she has also written a book. It is a step by step guide for people looking to implement a new healthy life
which is managable.
”The pandemic was challenging. We are a niche market, not a great deal of people knew about us as a new business. The keto/low carb way of life wasn’t well known at the time so when the pandemic hit we had to figure out how to keep going.” said Pauline.
”We couldn’t afford to close down fully, so we essentially became the delivery people in Clevedon, Weston and Bristol to just keep the business going. We had to restructure to become more of a store and now we have invested so much in this new model we simply cannot go backwards” she adds.
