These Terms Apply to the Local Rewards Programme and all Local Rewards run competitions.

Full terms and conditions

1. Local High Street Rewards prize draws and competitions are open only to residents of the UK at the time of the competition opening. Failure to comply with any part of this clause will disqualify the respective entry from the competition.

2. Multiple entries allowed 

3. All entries must be received by the last calendar day of each month at 23:59 (BST time).

4. Each entrant shall enter the prize draw via Instagram or Facebook. Obscene or inappropriate entries will not be accepted and Local High Street Rewards reserves the right to reject any entries for any reason at its sole discretion.

5. To be considered valid, entrants must be following Local Rewards on Instagram or on Facebook and have tagged a business and a friend in the comment of the relevant social media posts. Entrants will receive an automated DM via Facebook or Instagram confirming their entry and asking them for an email address. Submission of email address is not a condition of entry and will be used solely to contact winners.

6. Each month there are 2 prizes of £50 in cash to spend on your high street. One additional winner will be announced for every additional 100 entries received.

7. The monthly winners will be selected at random by Maybe* and will be informed within 7 days of the closing date by email, Instagram or Facebook Direct Message. The judges' decision is final. It is the entrant’s responsibility to ensure their privacy settings are set to receive Direct Messages. If the winners fail to respond within 48 hours a new winner may be chosen

8. We are very keen to share our winners of 'Local Rewards Win back your spend’ to show our community that the rewards and the winners are real. As such, we do require that our winners participate in a reasonable amount of publicity. Local Rewards will arrange for the money to be transferred via BACS within 28 days once publicity has been agreed to.

9. The promoter will not be liable for any failure of receipt of entries. The promoter takes no responsibility for any entries which are lost, delayed, illegible, corrupted, damaged, incomplete or otherwise invalid.

10. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the promoter's liability under or in connection with the prize draw competition or these terms and conditions shall be limited to the value of the prize in question.

11. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the promoter shall be liable under or in connection with these terms and conditions, the prize draw competition or any prize for any indirect, special or consequential cost, expense, loss or damage suffered by a participant even if such cost, expense, loss or damage was reasonably foreseeable or might reasonably have been contemplated by the participant and the promoter and whether arising from breach of contract, tort, negligence, breach of statutory duty or otherwise.

12. Prizes are non-negotiable, non-transferable and non-refundable. Where a prize becomes unavailable for any reason, the promoter reserves the right to substitute that prize for a prize of equal or higher value.

13. In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond the promoter's reasonable control, the promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the prize draw competition or these terms and conditions, either in whole or in part, with or without notice.

14. The promoter's decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.

15. These terms and conditions and the competition prize draw are governed by English law and subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

16. Promoter: Local High Street Rewards

Win Back Your Spend as you shop on the High Street competition terms  

  1. The giveaway is open to the residents of the United Kingdom

  2. There is a minimum of two winners per month

  3. There is no entry fee but qualifying purchases will need to be made in a qualifying businesses

  4. A qualifying business is a business that is listed on Rewards and displays a VISA, MasterCard or AMEX logo on their listing. For the avoidance of doubt, business listings with no VISA, MasterCard or AMEX logos are not eligible. 

  5. By entering this giveaway, the entrant is indicating their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions

  6. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason  

  7. Rewards reserves the right to withdraw this giveaway at any time without notice

  8. Winners will win back the value of their purchase up to £500. The win back will be given as a cash payment by Maybe*

  9. The winners will be picked randomly by machine

  10. You must make a qualifying purchase in order to enter.

  11. The winner will be contacted via email

  12. If the winners fail to respond within 48 hours a new winner may be chosen

  13. Any expenses incurred by the winner in the general use of the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner

Local Rewards programme terms and conditions

By registering to become a member of the Rewards Loyalty Programme and by participating in the Programme, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to agree to the following Programme’s Terms & Conditions (“Terms”), and agree to these Terms, as well as the other rules, policies, and procedures of the Programme posted or otherwise provided by Rewards.

Please read and understand these Terms and the Maybe* Privacy Policy carefully before joining the Programme.

 

1. Overview

Rewards is a loyalty programme that allows you to collect points in return for spend in participating locations. These points can then be redeemed for rewards offered by our member locations. 

2. Membership

Eligibility: You must be at least 16 years of age, and have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms and conditions to become a Member.

How to Join: You may register to become a Rewards Loyalty Programme Member by completing the application process in Messenger or WhatsApp. Members agree to provide all necessary registration information required and ensure provided information is accurate.   

Creating Your Account Password: When setting up your account, it is important that you create a complex password consisting of a minimum of 8 characters and that you ensure that you do not share your password with others. Both of these measures are your responsibility.

Unauthorised use of account: You are solely responsible for protecting your Loyalty account from unauthorised use. If the password to your Loyalty account is lost or stolen, or someone else is using the account on your behalf with or without your permission, then available Loyalty points may be used by anyone, and you are solely responsible for protecting them from this unauthorised use. If a reward that was assigned to your Loyalty account is used in a manner that was not authorised by you, or is lost or stolen, Rewards will not replace the reward or the points used to earn the reward.

Updating Your Account Information: When setting up your account, you are responsible for providing the correct email address to receive important information and notification by email and to ensure proper accounting of your account loyalty credit. Each Member is responsible for maintaining accurate and updated personal information.

Account Deletion: You may contact rewards@maybetech.com Customer Service at Rewards for assistance with cancelling your membership in the Programme and to remove your details from the Programme. If you delete your Loyalty account membership your accrued points and any issued but unused Loyalty will be forfeited and all your account details will be removed from Programme permanently.

 

3. Programme provision, points and rewards

A Loyalty member will earn 1 point for every £1 spent at participating locations. Points can be accumulated in order to build up a larger total.

Once you have earned enough points, the reward will be available for you to redeem via the Rewards Messenger & WhatsApp bot. Here you can check your points total and view available rewards. 

Points awarded are generally viewable in your Loyalty account immediately after 72 hours. If it has been more than 72 hours and your points are not available, please get in touch at rewards@maybetech.com.

Loyalty points and loyalty rewards are not redeemable for cash and have no financial value.

Loyalty points and loyalty rewards are not transferable to other members or other accounts.

Loyalty points may not be combined among Members or conveyed by any means to anyone, including through a Member's estate, and may not pass to a Member's successors and assigns. Accrued points do not constitute property of the Member and are not transferable by the Member upon death, as part of a domestic relations matter, or otherwise.

Rewards reserves the right to offer additional Programme benefits or decline to offer certain Programme benefits at any time in its sole discretion, with or without notice to you. This could include, for example, providing bonus points and other promotional offers and incentives available to select Members based on purchase activity, geographic location, Programme participation, other information supplied by Members, or other criteria established by Rewards. In all cases, however, once a reward has been issued, the reward will remain available for redemption by the Member for the redemption period.

Rewards Loyalty Members may, at Rewards sole discretion, be given access to special events and be invited to participate in exclusive offers for Rewards Loyalty Members (such events and offers are referred to herein as “Member Reward Offers”).

All rewards offered are subject to the individual terms and conditions offered by the reward provider. Rewards take no responsibility for the availability of individual rewards or individual terms and conditions.

All prize draws offered are subject to individual terms and conditions. Rewards take no responsibility for the availability of individual prize draws. You can view these terms and conditions by clicking “View Terms” prior to entering a prize draw. 

4. Emails, Notifications and Privacy - see privacy statement below.

5. Changes to Programme Terms

Membership in the Programme and Programme benefits are offered at the sole discretion of Rewards, which reserves the right to terminate, change, limit, modify, or cancel the Programme or any Programme terms, rules, regulations, benefits, or conditions of participation at any time.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to change, modify, add or remove any or all portions of these Terms or any other rules, regulations, FAQs, guidelines or other information pertaining to the Programme at any time. The revisions to the Programme that we may make include, but are not limited to, the following: (i) increasing or decreasing the points required to earn Loyalty Points or the rate at which Loyalty Points can be earned; (ii) changing the categories or value of Loyalty Points that can be earned; (iii) changing the methods or eligibility requirements of becoming a Member; (iv) changing the methods or requirements for earning points or redeeming Loyalty points ; or (v) instituting or adding blackout dates for earning or redeeming Loyalty Points.

If these Terms change in the future, we will let you know by posting updated terms on the Rewards website, with the most recent modification date. Any changes or modifications will be effective immediately upon posting and you waive any right you have to receive special notice of such change.

In the event of Programme cancellation, unless otherwise determined by Rewards in its sole discretion, issued and unused Loyalty will remain available for redemption by the Member for the 60 day redemption period, and all accrued points will be forfeited as of the cancellation date.

 

6. General Terms

Abuse of the Programme, including exploitation of IT vulnerabilities, earning points or rewards or any other Programme benefits in unlawful manner, and including failure to abide by these Terms, the sale or transfer (or the attempted sale or transfer) of Loyalty, points, or promotional offers, and any misrepresentation of fact or other improper conduct as determined by Rewards in its sole discretion and judgment may result in cancellation of a Member's Loyalty account and future disqualification from Programme participation, forfeiture of all points accrued, and cancellation of previously issued but unused Loyalty.

Rewards reserves the right to report any unlawful use and abuse of the Programme for prosecution to the relevant authorities.

By participating in the Programme, you agree to release Rewards and its related, affiliated, parent or subsidiary companies, franchisees, and their respective, directors, managers, officers, employees and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability with respect to the misdirection or misuse of any points or Loyalty or the use of any Loyalty by an individual other than the Loyalty Member who earned the reward. By participating in the Programme, you further agree to release the Released Parties from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and other expenses (including, without limitation, attorney’s fees) relating to your participation in the Programme, use of Loyalty, or agreement to these Terms. The Released Parties make no warranty, express or implied, including, but not limited to, any warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose with respect to Rewards Loyalty Programme, membership in Rewards Loyalty Programme, or any products or services related to Rewards  Loyalty Programme.

Any Member chooses to use the Programme at its own risk and in no event shall Rewards be liable for any direct, consequential, incidental or special damage or loss of any kind including, but not limited to loss of money, damage to Member’s good name, Member’s identity theft, Member’s usage information theft, however caused, including negligence or otherwise except as expressly provided herein.

7. The Maybe* Retail loyalty Scheme Privacy Statement

  • When you choose to become a member of the loyalty program and you reside in the UK, your personal data will be processed in accordance with UK data protection law. The legislation includes but is not limited to;

  • The Data Protection, Privacy and Electronic Communication Regulation (UK-GDPR);

  • The General Data Protection Regulation (679) 2016 (EU-GDPR);

  • The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulation (PECR);

  • The Data Protection Act 2018.

  • If you reside outside of the UK, your data protection rights will be upheld in accordance with your national laws;

  • Maybe* is the data controller of such information you may provide when you become a member of the scheme in accordance with the GDPR;

    • Maybe* may work with other organisations when providing membership services, in these instances it may be a data processor as defined in the GDPR; 

    • Other organisations may therefore be controllers of your personal data and will process that data in accordance with their policies;

8. The eight data subject rights will be upheld unless there is a legal provision or obligation, they include;

8.8.1 The right to be informed;

8.8.2 The right of access;

8.8.3 The right to erasure of the right to be forgotten;

8.8.4 The right to restrict processing;

8.8.5 The right to question automated decision making;

8.8.6 The right to rectify inaccurate information;

8.8.7 The right to portability of data.

8.8.8 Further details of these rights can be found in section 7 of this notice.

8.8.9 The principles of the GDPR and how Maybe* upholds them is detailed in the data protection policy, in particular;

8.8.10 Maybe* ensures that its processing is fair, proportionate and transparent;

8.8.11 That the purposes for processing are strictly for the provision of membership services unless otherwise notified;

8.8.12 That only the data required to provide the services is processed;

8.8.13 That the data provided by the member is accurate and continues to be so wherever possible;

8.8.14 Data is only retained for as long as is necessary to provide membership and to uphold any legal obligations;

8.8.15 All data is processed with adequate physical and technical security, which is regularly reviewed, and risks mitigated;

8.8.16 Maybe* can demonstrate it is accountable for the data is may process as a data Controller;

8.8.17 Maybe* has appointed a Data Protection Officer to oversee and ensure fair processing of all personal data;

8.8.18 Data processed to provide membership services will be processed using contractual obligation as the lawful grounds;

8.8.19 Some data may be processed with the consent of the member;

8.8.19.1 When you make a purchase or enter a prize draw as a member of the program, your Consent and or a Contractual Obligation will be used to process your personal data by the business/s and or sponsor with whom you make a purchase/s or promoter of the prize draw/s you enter.

8.8.19.2 The business/s and or sponsor may assume that they have your soft opt-in for future marketing unless you indicate otherwise.

8.8.19.3 The business/s and or sponsor may offer you the ability to opt-out of their marketing in the future.

8.8.19.4 Your data is only processed by the business/s and or sponsor with whom you make a purchase/s or enter prize draw/s

8.8.20 Some data may be processed using the legitimate interest of Maybe* or another data controller. Where this is the case, you may object to such processing;

8.8.21 Data may be shared using the lawful grounds for processing detailed in sections 1.8 and 1.9 and where a data sharing agreement is in force;

8.8.22 If processing is undertaken in accordance with section 6.8.21 it will only be processed with explicit consent or on rare occasions a Data Protection Act 2018 exemption;

8.8.23 International transfers of data are made to countries that have adequate standards of data protection in accordance with the EU GDPR;

8.8.24 Where transfers are made to a third country, necessary safeguards are used to ensure the data subjects’ fundamental rights and freedoms are upheld;

8.8.25 Safeguards referred to in section 6.8.24 include but are not limited to EU standard contractual clauses;

8.8.26 Such safeguards referred to in section 6.8.25 are used on a case by case basis and only after the assessing the standards of national data protection law;

8.8.27 In the event of you unsubscribing to the Maybe* service, we will ensure your personal data is no longer processed. We cannot take responsibility for any other party who we may have shared your data with. If you wish to change your preferences with them you will need to contact them directly.

8.8.28 Member, current, prospective and lapsed may lodge a complaint about the processing of their data by Maybe with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) who regulates data protection in the UK. (www.ico.org.uk/concerns). If you reside outside of the UK you may need to contact your local regulator.

8.8.29 This privacy notice may be updated from time to time and published in the public domain.

Borrow* is a pilot scheme owned and operated by Green Street Street Pioneers Ltd “Green Street’. The Borrow* returns and rewards scheme is powered by Local Rewards, owned by Maybe Solutions Ltd. Borrow* is a simple solution to reduce single-use packaging for drinks and takeaways.

These are the Terms and Conditions which relate to the use of the Borrow* website and the rewards return and rewards scheme.

We may change our Terms and Conditions from time to time. The revised terms will be available via the Borrow* website and the returns and rewards system based on WhatsApp or Messenger.

You should check the Terms & Conditions regularly to ensure that you understand and are familiar with any changes. You will be deemed to have accepted any changes to the Terms of Use after you have been notified of the changes on our Website home page and you continue to access or use the Website or return and rewards scheme.

We reserve the right to refuse or cease any content supplied by or suspend or terminate any account of any person that we think contravenes any law; is offensive or obscene; or contravenes these Terms and Conditions.

Materials posted on our Website or the return and rewards platform are not intended as advice and should not be relied upon as such. We, therefore, accept no liability or responsibility arising from any reliance placed on such information to the fullest extent permissible by law.

How we will use and protect information about you.

Green Street as the sponsor of Borrow* may assume that by signing up to the scheme they have your soft opt-in for future marketing unless you indicate otherwise.  They will confirm your registration of the rewards and incentives scheme and you will be provided with an option to opt into further helpful marketing information.

Green Street as the sponsor of Borrow* will offer you the ability to opt out of their marketing in the future.  Please email hello@greenstreet.co.uk at any time to opt of any marketing communications from Green Street for the Borrow* scheme.

Green Street and Maybe* are data controllers of personal data in accordance with the definition of the UK GDPR.

The Borrow* scheme 

Borrow* branded reusable cups and takeaway food boxes are borrowed by customers, returned, washed and used again and again. Borrow*  A small refundable deposit is taken by the Business supplying the Borrow* packaging and is returned by them to the customer.

Customers return Borrow* cups to any of our Borrow* Cafes during their opening hours, identified by the Borrow* logo on the business premises. A list of up-to-date participating businesses is available on the Borrow website - www.greenstreet/borrow

Borrow* food boxes and lids can only be returned to MyLahore Bradford Delivery branch, 348 Great Horton Rd, Bradford BD7 1QJ during their normal opening hours.

MyLahore Bradford Delivery drivers will only collect Borrow* food boxes when delivering a food order placed directly with MyLahore Bradford Delivery via telephone. Orders made online and or delivered via UberEats will not collect Borrow* food boxes or return food box deposits.

Only Borrow* cups and food boxes are to be returned via the Borrow* scheme in the participating businesses, these are identified by the Borrow* logo. Food boxes must be returned with the lids to receive the deposit back.

The maximum number of returns for Borrow* food boxes and Borrow* cups in one return is 20 items.  A cup and lid count as one item and a food box and lid count as one item.

The pilot is due to end on the 31st October 2023 and therefore any unused packaging to collect deposits will need to be returned 14 days after this end date by 14th November 2023. Any boxes returned after 14th November will not be eligible for the deposit to be returned.

The information gathered on returning Borrow* cups and food boxes will be used to record the number of Borrow* reusable packaging that has been returned as part of the Borrow* project. This information is required as part of the return scheme to allow your packaging deposit to be returned.

The general data gathered will be used collectively to report the success of the Borrow* scheme.

The scheme organisers will contact individuals who are high users of the scheme to understand more about it.

Each Borrow* member is responsible for maintaining accurate and updated personal information.

Account Deletion: To leave the Borrow* scheme, please enter the message CANCEL into your rewards account (either on WhatsApp or Messenger, depending which one you signed up with).

Borrow* reserves the right to withdraw the scheme at any point in time.

Intellectual property

All intellectual property rights to the Borrow* Website and the Materials are owned by Green Street Pioneers Limited and you must not:

a) remove any copyright or other proprietary notices contained in the Materials;

b) use any materials from the website in any manner that may infringe any copyright, intellectual property right or proprietary right of us or any third parties; or

c) reproduce, modify, display, perform, publish, distribute, disseminate, broadcast, frame, communicate to the public or circulate to any third party or exploit this website and/or the materials for any commercial purpose, without our prior written consent.

These Terms and Conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Borrow* Monthly Prize Draw Terms & Conditions

Introduction

This Prize Draw is run by Green Street Pioneers Limited, with a registered address at 9 Westville Road, Ilkley, LS29 9AJ, as part of the Borrow* scheme. By submitting your prize draw entry, you are agreeing to these Prize Draw Terms and Conditions.

Borrow* is a scheme set up by Green Street where participating businesses such as cafés and takeaways can provide reusable food and drinks packaging to its customers to use, reuse and return, in a bid to end single use plastic and other packaging and help the hospitality industry slash their carbon footprint and become more sustainable.

Eligibility & How to Enter

The prize draw is open to all residents in the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over, except for Green Street employees.

By submitting your prize draw entry, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and that you are eligible to receive any prizes that may be awarded to you. Green Street may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the prize draw and receive any prizes.

To enter the prize draw, just scan the barcode on the Borrow* reusable packaging item you have borrowed and complete the form, providing your name and contact details. The prize draw is completely free to enter and there is a limit of one entry per person per day.

There will be a new prize draw every month. All entries must be submitted by midnight on the last day of each month for the prize draw of that month ("Closing Date") and the winners of the prize will be announced within 14 days of the Closing Date of each month ("Announcement Date").

The Prize

The winning prize will be updated monthly and there will be one price per month, examples of prizes include shopping vouchers and theatre tickets. The prize will always be announced on the Green Street website.

The prize is non-transferable, non-negotiable, and non-exchangeable, and no cash alternatives will be provided.

We reserve the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond our control require doing so. Green Street's decision on any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into about that matter.

Green Street would email you if you won the prize draw. In order to claim the prize, you must respond to this email, accepting the prize and provide further details such as a delivery address to receive the prize.

Green Street does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.

Winner Announcement

The winner will be chosen at random and notified via the email address provided as soon as practicable after the Announcement Date.

Green Street will make two attempts to contact the winner via email. If the winner does not respond to the emails informing them of their win within 14 days of the second email, they forfeit their right to the prize, and Green Street reserves the right to select and notify a new winner.

Green Street must either publish or make available Information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation, Green Street will publish the surname and general location of each prize winner. If you object to any or all of your surname, general location and winning entry being published or made available, please contact Green Street by emailing hello@greensteet.org.uk. In such circumstances, Green Street must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

Green Street may publish winners on its social media accounts but will always obtain consent of that winner doing so by contacting the winner via email. This consent can be withdrawn at any time by contacting hello@greenstreet.org.uk.

Green Street does not accept responsibility if contact details provided are incomplete or inaccurate.

Delivery of the Prize

Please allow 14 working days for the prize to be delivered, otherwise alternative collection or delivery arrangements can be made through mutual agreement and by contacting hello@greenstreet.org.uk. The prize may not be claimed by a third party on the winner’s behalf.

Data Protection and Publicity

We will only process your personal information for the purposes of submitting your entry to the prize draw, contacting you if you win the prize draw and as set out in the Winner Announcement section above, and for the other purposes as specified in our Privacy Policy.

Limitation of Liability

Green Street accepts no liability for any damage, loss, injury, or disappointment suffered by any entrants as a result of participating in the competition or being selected for a prize.

General

Green Street reserves the right, at any time and without prior notice, to cancel the prize draw or amend these Terms and Conditions.

The prize draw and these Terms and Conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
