Luke Jones is a professional narrator and voice over artist based in Ashford, Kent providing businesses with narrations for adverts, corporate videos, character roles in video games and more.
Although working with a broad range of businesses from the NHS to independent video games companies, Luke wants to support local businesses as much as possible too as he knows his voice over could add that local, personal flair and lift a business’s video content or advert.
“I provide voice overs to the likes of the NHS for medical training elearning and much of the content was around the pandemic” says Luke. Any business that does a lot of elearning for their teams or need corporate content tends to be a good fit for Like due to his background.
He does however like to lend his voice to those who don’t have access to good, strong messaging and can work with a variety of budgets.
Their story:
“I stumbled into this business. I was a bit of a nerd loving cartoons and video games but I never dreamed of this as a job. The Film, TV and Production course at Portsmouth University had built in studios where lots of projects took place. I needed some extra work and I was approached by people looking for voice overs and it snowballed from there.” says Luke.
Luke began putting flyers on campus and networked to build up this side of his business and after he graduated he decided this could be a real career for him.
The range of businesses he works with is broad and he believes in helping small businesses who are local because when he was a child he couldn’t express himself due to a stammer which, after years of speech therapy, he learned to manage.
“I want to give small businesses or local independent traders a voice where they don’t have one” Luke mentioned.
