Intelligent Servers is a Harrogate based independent supplier of refurbished computer hardware.
Intelligent Servers sell refurbished computer equipment to the end user such as businesses or people working from home through to being a data centre for backup and hosting. All equipment comes in from the refurbished side of the business and we can offer cheaper prices because we have the stock onsite and ready to be dispatched.
Hayley- Marketing Manager says, ”IT managers have huge cost benefits using refurbished equipment. With IT budgets squeezed and a lot of businesses having to adapt to the new normal, it makes more financial sense to look at refurbished hardware”.
Before lockdown it was primarily servers and networking equipment now that the business tended to supply its customers but then suddenly with the rise in home-working it quickly became laptops and pcs.
“Laptops were only 5% of business previously, we had a record month in March, normal month we sell 10-20 units, first month sold 500 and now close to 2500 per month. Laptops now make up 10-20% of our business” says Matthew Ware.
Their story:
Going for 10 years just celebrated January the company focused a lot of energy over lockdown on connecting b2b with schools and businesses therefore were very active on linked in helping as much as possible.
We talked to a lot of IT managers to see how we could support them and posted a lot of case studies, photos of big orders going out etc and we worked with a number of charities to support as best we could.
We began to supply through the market that we used to buy from. We collaborate with a lot of businesses and rather than buying as much equipment we tend to focus more on recycling and supporting.
