Their story:
When lockdown started Giuliano’s closed for 3 weeks. Positively Putney emailed and encouraged the duo to reopen again and supported them with Maybe’s help to do it.
“We catered around what people wanted but on a smaller scale therefore 12 trays of pasta on a normal day went down to 2 or 3 and slowly built up again. We realised people wanted grocery shopping from a local business and brought in specialist shaped pasta.” Isabella says.
Instagram has really helped them attract new people to the business who didn’t know they were there. They now get cyclists coming from other areas who have seen their posts coming in to fuel up before their cycle home.
The cafe has 8 tables for sit in and if the weather is good, a few outside for your traditional Italian fare.. The parklet from Positively Putney is also about 100 yards from the shop for those who want to take away and grab a seat before heading back to their day. .

If you happen upon Cafe Giuliano’s stories you will see Isabella on their posting funny things that have happened, running fun polls and just being really genuine trying to pick people up when they need it most.
“Although the business is down 30% year on year due to the pandemic, heaven’s knows where we would be if we hadn’t kept connecting with our customers on social media” adds Isabella.
